About the Journal

Habaru is the scientific journal of the History Department at the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of Yaoundé I.

It serves as a space for producing, exchanging, and sharing knowledge dedicated to the study of societies, their transformations, and their historical, political, social, cultural, and environmental dynamics.

In its new editorial direction, the journal goes beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries to welcome work from various fields of the humanities and social sciences.

History remains its intellectual foundation, while engaging in dialogue with the methods, approaches, and conceptual tools of related disciplines.
